Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physicist to join our Radiation Oncology team at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of radiation therapy equipment, working closely with Radiation Oncologists and Radiation Therapists to plan treatments, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement radiation safety protocols to ensure the protection of patients, staff, and the public.
  • Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists and Radiation Therapists to plan and deliver radiation therapy treatments.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment to ensure accurate and safe operation.
  • Provide training and education to staff on radiation safety and compliance procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments to ensure compliance and best practices.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Physics or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a hospital radiation oncology department, preferably in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety principles and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
