The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Norton Children's Hospital provides high-quality patient care to critically ill children. This role requires a strong foundation in pediatric critical care, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and manage complex medical conditions in critically ill children
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Provide education and support to patients and families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Master's degree in Nursing
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky
- Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least two years in a pediatric critical care setting
- Certified Surgical First Assistant
- Surgical Assistant Certified
