Responsibilities:

As a Cleaner, your primary responsibility will be to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all facility areas, ensuring an exceptional experience for our members. Cleanliness is essential to the Planet Fitness brand and the safety of our team and members.

Your duties will include:

  • Thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing all common areas (e.g., restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment) according to our cleaning standards.
  • Vacuuming floor surfaces and operating the floor scrubber machine as per the established schedule.
  • Properly disposing of trash and maintaining cleanliness in trash cans and cleaning centers.
  • Replenishing supplies and paper products as necessary, while communicating inventory needs to management.
  • Cleaning high surfaces (e.g., ceiling fans, TVs) and reporting any broken or missing amenities or equipment.
  • Operating washing machines and dryers, as well as maintaining cleaning equipment.

Daily Tasks:

  • Greet members and guests as they enter and exit the facility, assisting with any inquiries.
  • Answer phone calls in a friendly manner and assist callers with their questions.
  • Process retail transactions accurately and contribute to sales goals.
  • Address member concerns and escalate issues to management as necessary.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs of the facility to address safety and cleanliness issues promptly.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The hourly pay range for this position is $16.00 to $17.25, with adjustments based on various factors.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience in cleaning and sanitizing.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Willingness to obtain CPR/AED certification (training provided).
  • Basic computer skills are required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and move throughout the facility during shifts.
  • Frequent communication in person or over the phone.
  • Capability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals during shifts.
  • Regular cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
  • Ability to bend and twist to complete tasks.
