Your Role:

As a Facility Sanitation Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our fitness center, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all members and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all areas within the facility, including restrooms, locker rooms, and fitness equipment, adhering to our high cleaning standards.
  • Conduct regular vacuuming and operate floor cleaning machines as per the established schedule.
  • Manage waste disposal and ensure trash receptacles are emptied and maintained.
  • Restock supplies and communicate inventory needs to management.
  • Perform high-level cleaning tasks, including dusting and sanitizing elevated surfaces.
  • Report any maintenance issues or damaged equipment to management promptly.
  • Utilize laundry facilities for cleaning towels and other items as needed.
  • Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.

Daily Duties:

  • Welcome members and guests, assisting them with inquiries and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Answer phone calls in a courteous manner, providing assistance as required.
  • Handle retail transactions accurately and contribute to sales objectives.
  • Address member concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs of the facility to identify and address cleanliness and safety concerns.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The hourly wage for this position ranges from $16.00 to $17.25, with adjustments based on various factors.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in cleaning and sanitation is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Willingness to obtain CPR/AED certification (training provided).
  • Basic computer skills are required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and move throughout the facility during shifts.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with members and staff.
  • Capability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals during work hours.
  • Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
  • Ability to bend and twist to perform various tasks.
