Role Summary:

The Site Manager plays a pivotal role in managing the comprehensive operations of the warehouse, encompassing receiving, storage, inventory oversight, and distribution. This position is essential for ensuring efficient last-mile delivery services, fulfilling customer expectations, and promoting operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in logistics, inventory oversight, and personnel management, with an emphasis on process optimization and cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Warehouse Operations Oversight:
    • Manage daily warehouse activities, ensuring prompt receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
    • Design and execute effective warehousing strategies, including space optimization, stock rotation, and safety measures.
    • Maintain precise inventory control through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations.
    • Ensure accountability for all packages scheduled for delivery.
    • Exhibit proficiency in computer systems for timely reporting and data management.
    • Monitor dispatch boards and maintain effective communication with drivers until all deliveries are completed.
  • Logistics Management:
    • Coordinate last-mile delivery schedules to ensure timely dispatch of goods, meeting customer delivery expectations.
    • Collaborate with the transportation team to enhance delivery routes and minimize transit durations.
    • Evaluate and manage the performance of courier partners, ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, train, and develop warehouse personnel, including Warehouse Leads and Contractors.
    • Establish clear performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations.
    • Ensure uniform compliance among all staff.
    • Conduct weekly recruitment interviews.
    • Promote a positive work culture centered on teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Process Enhancement:
    • Identify and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce operational expenses.
    • Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and optimize logistics operations.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to maintain competitive warehouse operations.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations in all warehouse activities.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and implement necessary corrective measures.
    • Maintain accurate records of all warehouse operations, including stock levels, shipments, and returns.
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain, ideally in a last-mile delivery context.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in problem-solving.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a proven track record of motivating and developing staff.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems and logistics software.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management, distribution, and transportation logistics.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client-vendor relationships.
Working Conditions:
  • This role requires a hands-on approach, with significant time spent on the warehouse floor.
  • Availability for early morning shifts.
  • Must be reliable and dependable.
  • Involves sorting packages and managing high-stress situations.
