Exciting Opportunity for a DDC/BAS Controls Specialist

About the Role:
This position is focused on the design, startup, commissioning, and servicing of HVAC Direct Digital Controls projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the successful implementation of building automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop advanced building automation systems.
  • Review and interpret technical plans and schematics for the startup and commissioning of HVAC Direct Digital Controls across various systems.
  • Utilize essential software tools, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Windows, Visio, QuickBooks, AutoCAD, SiteBuilder, and Eikon.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Windows-based operating systems, Ethernet networks, and HVAC DDC I/O instruments.
  • Diagnose and resolve operational issues within DDC systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Implement operational sequences and programming logic into control software.
  • Identify and rectify issues in software and electrical installations.
  • Fine-tune control algorithms (PID's) for enhanced system efficiency.
  • Update and modify HVAC DDC system graphics, setpoints, addressing points, and technical drawings.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Manage product and equipment orders using office software tools.
  • Collaborate with external specialists to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications:
  • A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, Windows-based platforms, and Direct Digital Controls.
  • Experience with platforms such as Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Distech, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Trane, Delta Controls, Automated Logic, or similar.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
