We are seeking a highly skilled Medication Technician to join our team at Navion Senior Solutions. As a Medication Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality medication administration and resident care oversight in our Assisted Living Community.
Key Responsibilities- Build Strong Relationships
- Demonstrate a positive working relationship with residents, family members, and staff.
- Promote and protect residents' rights and treat residents with dignity and respect.
- Provide Excellent Care
- Attend in-service and education programs and obtain continuing education required by state regulations.
- Demonstrate the ability to remain calm under stressful conditions.
- Maintain confidentiality of residents' information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Operate with Efficiency
- Maintain professional appearance by adherence to community dress code.
- Documentation is completed in an informative and descriptive manner.
- All changes in a resident's condition are reported as soon as possible to the supervisor.
- Ensure Safety and Compliance
- Work schedules and assigned tasks are completed in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the community.
- Operate equipment in a safe manner and only utilize equipment for which previous training of use has occurred.
- Infection Control precautions and practices are utilized with all activities.
- Meet Requirements
- High School diploma
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course.
- Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required.
- Ability to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff members.
- Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others.
- Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
