Job Title: Medical Support Specialist

We are currently seeking a certified or registered Medical Support Specialist who is compassionate and skilled in connecting with people for our Pediatric location near Centerville.

Our focus at Contemporary Pediatrics, like all Providence Medical Group practices, is building lasting patient relationships based on trust and continuity of care.

  • Room patients, take vital signs, and record them accurately.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, tests, and treatments, explaining procedures as needed.
  • Assist with procedures as ordered by the provider and may assist in examinations, carry out treatments, and special tests.
  • Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.
  • Collect samples such as blood, urine, and sputum from patients and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
  • Perform administrative/clerical duties as required.

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year (dependent on experience)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; dependable attendance.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, computer skills, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and instruments.
  • Ability to draw blood.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Certificate from a Medical Assisting Program.

Certification:

  • Must be certified or registered by an accredited certifying board.
