Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

Job SummaryThe Director - Financial Planning and Analysis will be responsible for driving financial performance through effective budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and strategic analysis. This individual will work closely with senior executives, cross-functional teams, and corporate finance to provide insightful analysis, improve financial processes and ensure alignment with the company's overall strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for Alside, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
- Analyze results to identify opportunities for improvement and partner with the business to drive improvements.
- Prepare detailed financial analysis, reports, presentations and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Lead and mentor a team of FP&A professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Lead efforts to improve financial forecasting accuracy, streamline reporting processes, and enhance financial visibility across the division.
- Drive the development of key performance indicators and track and monitor performance.
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within a large organization.
- Experience working closely with senior executives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial modeling.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with tools such as Hyperion, Oracle or PowerBI is a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate an FP&A team.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
