Director of FP&A Job Description

Our client, a leading logistics company, is seeking a highly skilled Director of FP&A to join their team. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for providing financial planning and analysis reporting standards, business and performance insights, and best-in-class analytics to drive consistency in performance across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the corporate FP&A function, overseeing the development and implementation of financial planning and analysis processes.
  • Develop and coordinate the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and reporting to the CFO, Executive team, and stakeholders.
  • Deliver accurate and insightful reporting and narratives for the financial performance, including monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles.
  • Lead a team that conducts financial analysis, modelling, forecasting, and reporting efforts to provide valuable insights.
  • Partner with the Controlling team to track ROIC and other critical financial rate of return measures.
  • Lead the strategic investment process with leaders across the organization to align on investments in company assets.
  • Manage the use, implementation, and development of online analytical reporting tools and design efficient reports and databases.
  • Support critical business projects that underpin the strategy, including providing data and insight, developing business cases, and producing financial analysis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics, or a relevant discipline, with an MBA preferred.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
  • 10+ years of related experience in a financial leadership position, including leading FP&A or a similar function on an enterprise level scale.
  • 7+ years of financial management/leadership experience in a consumer products company, fast-moving consumer goods company, or large-scale distributor/wholesaler or supplier, highly preferred.
  • Strong Excel and Power BI skills.
