Job Summary
The Commonwealth of Virginia seeks a highly skilled and experienced Director of Post Award to join the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP). As a key member of the OSP management team, the successful candidate will provide oversight of the Post Award activities, including proposal and award set up, grants management, financial management, and cash management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert interpretation and application of governmental research regulations and sponsor policies related to financial administration.
- Foster collaboration with various stakeholder groups and demonstrate a high commitment to customer service.
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and objectives for financial research administration, including developing effective training programs.
- Manage and negotiate complex contracts, and lead teams to facilitate efficient and effective administration.
- Develop and enhance automated workflow/processes and systems that support administrative operations.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Public or Business Administration, finance, or related field(s).
- Progressively responsible experience in administrative or supervisory functions, with a focus on financial and/or administrative experience.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with federal and non-federal regulations and guidelines, cost principles, financial reporting requirements, billing/invoicing sponsored programs, and uniform guidance/administrative requirements.
- Thorough knowledge and working experience with large enterprise financial systems.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to interpret and apply federal regulations, policies, and procedures in a complex environment.
