About the Unit

The ICU unit at our partner hospital in Blacksburg, Virginia is a 10-bed unit with a team of 21 experienced RNs. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including Baxter IV pumps, SCD pumps, Artic sun, balloon pump, Train of Four, BIS monitor, and Vigileo. The EMR system used is Meditech.

Must-haves for this role include:

  • ICU experience
  • ACLS/BLS certification

Preferred skills include:

  • Charge experience

Typical procedures performed on the unit include:

  • Central line placement
  • Intubation
  • Bronch/Scope
