The Front of the House Floor Supervisor is a key member of our team at Specialty Restaurants Corporation, responsible for overseeing the Front of the House staff during assigned shifts. This role requires a strong leader who can ensure that all hourly team members are performing their duties in accordance with the quality standards established by the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise Front of the House Staff: Oversee the Dinning Room Area and the supervision of all front of the house service staff in accordance with operating policies during the course of their assigned shift.
- Ensure Quality Standards: Responsible for ensuring that proper food handling procedures and presentation are being met by the staff.
- Handle Customer Complaints: Handle customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Establish Performance Standards: Establish standards of performance for the dinning room area.
- Financial Management: Responsible for estimating food and beverage cost and requisition supplies.
- Financial Oversight: Responsible for reviewing financial transactions and monitoring the budget to ensure that expenditures stay within budget limitations.
- Personal Safety: Must wear approved manufacturer certified slip resistant or non-slip shoes at all times while working.
- Training and Development: Participate in and pass alcohol awareness and safety training classes.
- Education and Experience: Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage service procedures and administration, with a strong background in hospitality preferred.
- Skills and Abilities: Must be able to create and maintain a team atmosphere within the department, ensure that employees are appropriately trained, and have an adequate work load. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Observance of all SRC Policies and Procedures. Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate in English.
- Schedule Requirements: Schedule may fluctuate based on departmental requirements.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to walk and stand for hours at a time, lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
