Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Controls Manager to join our team at Phase Consulting. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing project controls functional area for large-scale capital engineering and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee project planning and scheduling, cost estimating and monitoring, progress measurement, risk management, and reporting.
  • Lead and direct the work of project controls personnel, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of project controls information.
  • Establish and manage project baseline processes for cost, schedule, and progress, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures.
  • Develop and implement risk management protocols, including identification, documentation, mitigation, and tracking of potential risks.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project progress, including development of progress measurement processes and establishment of project schedule development, review, and update processes.
  • Mentor and lead a large staff of project controls team members, ensuring project is staffed appropriately and conducting regular staff performance reviews.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field, and 12 years' experience in Construction Management, with at least 8 years of experience in a leadership role in project controls.
  • High School diploma or GED and 16 years' experience in engineering, construction, project controls, or business-related field, with at least 8 years of experience in a leadership role in project controls.
  • Strong understanding of Primavera and overall planning process and best practices on capital mining projects.
  • Leadership ability and strong management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-paced project environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with mining construction projects.
  • Experience with ERP system, estimating software, SAP, and EcoSys.
  • Understanding of accounting functions and systems.
  • Experience with cost control, including project estimating, forecasting, and cost management, including reporting.
