Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and support to teams involved in planning, sales, and operations.
  • Establish and promote best practices for demand, capacity, and supply chain planning.
  • Ensure the accuracy of sales data and secure commitments to sales forecasts.
  • Initiate process improvement strategies to reduce lead times and enhance on-time delivery.
  • Oversee the development and precision of inventory reports for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Verify that stock levels of raw materials and packaging components are adequate prior to production scheduling.
  • Forecast planning based on historical customer purchases and current inventory levels.
  • Engage with customers regarding demand forecasts and lead times for finished products.
  • Address supply-demand discrepancies and customer concerns.
  • Gather data, conduct analyses, and present findings to the leadership team.
  • Implement continuous improvement techniques such as Six Sigma and Lean methodologies in manufacturing and distribution.
  • Play a significant role in the rollout of new processes, technologies, and products.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in production scheduling or material planning within a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Experience in sales and operations planning is necessary.
  • Proficiency in data mining, analytics, and reporting is required.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel are essential.
  • Must be a self-driven individual focused on results.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills are required.
  • Familiarity with value streams, cost drivers, and essential components of cost structures is important.
