System One is seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide comprehensive substance abuse services, including intakes, assessments, treatment planning, and individual and group counseling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough substance use screenings and diagnose newly-referred clients.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Provide individual, group, and collateral counseling services to promote recovery and well-being.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and transitions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to HIPAA and CFR42 guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADAC) certification.
  • 2+ years of experience in substance abuse counseling or a related field.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations, including homeless individuals with co-occurring issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
  • Experience working in a non-profit or community-based setting.
  • Knowledge of SAMHSA guidelines and best practices in substance abuse treatment.
