In this dynamic position, you will focus on:

  • Strategic Contribution
    • Assist in crafting strategies and deployment plans for the site or department.
    • Identify and evaluate improvement opportunities; formulate action plans as necessary.
  • Team Engagement
    • Facilitate CI Awareness workshops for all teams (e.g., CI fundamentals training).
    • Encourage sharing of best practices among team members.
  • Skill Development
    • Oversee CI capability development at the team/shop floor level.
    • Enhance team skills by providing training on fundamental CI methodologies.
    • Training encompasses: CI Basics (5S, 8 Wastes, Problem Solving), Yellow Belt, Visual Performance Management, CI Maturity Assessment.
  • Analytical Problem Solving
    • Monitor problem-solving governance at the team/shop floor level.
    • Guide project teams in utilizing problem-solving techniques (e.g., root cause analysis).
  • Performance Oversight
    • Establish and assist in implementing performance management reviews at various levels (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Continuous Improvement Assessment
    • Support the CI Manager/Lead in preparing for the CI Maturity Assessment and follow up with teams based on the assessment outcomes.
  • Process Enhancement
    • Train, coach, and motivate teams to apply relevant CI tools and methodologies to improve process and asset efficiencies.
  • Standardization of Work
    • Assist process owners in developing CI-related work standards.
    • Support teams in applying and adhering to work standards (e.g., SOPs, OPLs).
  • Business Improvement Initiatives
    • Lead and support targeted business improvement projects.
    • Coach project teams in the application of Lean and Six Sigma tools throughout project execution.
    • Promote the progress of assigned CI projects, overseeing resource plans, team responsibilities, change requests, deadlines, milestones, and communication.
    • Report on the financial and non-financial benefits of assigned improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree is required, preferably in engineering or a related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent CI training is essential.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering or project management.
  • Proven track record in leading improvement projects and training in CI principles.
