Job Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Senior Life Services. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our members, assisting in the development of comprehensive treatment programs and executing select treatments in accordance with OT and interdisciplinary Plans of Care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of comprehensive, integrated treatment programs for members
  • Execute select treatments in accordance with OT and interdisciplinary Plans of Care
  • Assess homebound members' needs, including home visits, comprehensive evaluations, and ongoing follow-up, as needed
  • Train outside caregivers and family members, as well as Senior Life staff members, in relevant OT protocol and procedures
  • Provide ongoing training and support to members, their families, and external caregivers for in-home participants, ensuring maximum independence and safety
  • Document all member care, executed by the COTA or the OTR, and evaluate and update care plans as necessary
  • Maintain up-to-date records in Data Pace, ensuring all interdisciplinary team members can review and analyze, as needed

Qualifications:

  • COTA must be fully licensed in Pennsylvania and committed to participating in educational training and workshops required for license retention
  • At least one year of experience working with the elderly population, with the ability to demonstrate strong working knowledge during the interview process
  • A valid Pennsylvania driver's license is required
