Reporting directly to the Operational Excellence Manager, this position is pivotal in facilitating ongoing enhancement initiatives through the application of Operational Excellence tools grounded in Toyota Production System (TPS) methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a metrics-driven, data-centric culture with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and interpret metrics to uncover trends or opportunities for cost reduction and quality enhancement.
  • Effectively implement Lean and Continuous Improvement strategies throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality teams to minimize scrap and rework through Lean initiatives.
  • Lead company-wide Kaizen events to achieve measurable cost savings.
  • Provide timely and precise updates on project statuses to all levels of the organization.
  • Create and maintain process maps to support project and process enhancement efforts.
  • Assist key suppliers in adopting Lean methodologies.
  • Engage with customers to implement best practices wherever feasible.
  • Promote a visual workplace that incorporates metrics, 6S, and standardized work practices.
  • Instill a culture of accountability, meticulousness, and strict compliance with Valcor's Personal Guarantee Program and Quality Management System.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, or Lean Manufacturing.
  • DMAIC Green Belt certification or equivalent; experience in Lean, TPM, or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proven project management experience leading large, cross-functional projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in training and mentoring others in problem-solving techniques is preferred.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis software.
