Position Overview:
The Parts Coordination Specialist plays a vital role in the maintenance department, ensuring the seamless operation of preventative maintenance activities and the efficient management of parts inventory. This position is essential for maintaining the functionality of equipment and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are integral to this role:

  • Manage all incoming parts requisitions in collaboration with the maintenance team.
  • Develop expertise in parts coordination and become proficient in utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Collaborate with various teams, including suppliers, contractors, and internal auditors, to ensure effective maintenance operations.
  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Organize and catalog all parts received and dispatched.
  • Maintain an orderly storage system for parts and supplies.
  • Keep accurate records of inventory, including quantities and locations of materials.
  • Prepare orders to replenish stock as needed.
  • Communicate the status of ordered parts to relevant personnel.
  • Assist in planning and organizing parts for maintenance projects.
  • Monitor and support the execution of preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain a comprehensive filing system for maintenance documentation.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts and manage adjustments as necessary.
  • Perform housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
  • Other related tasks may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying shifts based on operational needs.
  • Previous experience in a parts coordination role, preferably within the food and beverage manufacturing sector.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; five years of relevant experience is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to stand or walk for extended periods and to lift and handle materials of moderate weight.

Work Environment:
The work environment is characterized by repetitive tasks that require focused attention.
