Overview:
The Department of Pediatrics, specializing in Hematology-Oncology, is in search of a qualified candidate for the role of Assistant Professor. This position is dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services with an emphasis on hematological disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
As part of the clinical team, the successful candidate will engage in the following duties:
1. Oversee both outpatient and inpatient management of patients within a tertiary care environment.
2. Participate in inpatient responsibilities, which include on-call duties during nights and weekends, serving as both a consultant and primary physician for patients.
3. Provide education and mentorship to medical trainees, including fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers.
4. Conduct necessary medical procedures, such as bone marrow examinations, as required.

Research Opportunities:
There may be potential for involvement in clinical or laboratory research, which will be discussed with departmental leadership during the selection process.

Qualifications:
- Must be board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.
- A valid Texas Medical License and Drug Enforcement Administration registration must be obtained prior to the commencement of employment.
