Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist I to join our team at Quest Diagnostics in Saint Marys, GA. As a Phlebotomist I, you will be responsible for collecting specimens from patients, administering oral solutions, and performing various laboratory tasks.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collect and process specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
  2. Administer oral solutions to patients as required.
  3. Verify patient information and test orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.
  4. Enter data accurately and efficiently using a computer.
  5. Obtain patient identification and collect payments when required.
  6. Perform non-patient facing duties, including inventory management, supply ordering, and filing.
  7. Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
  8. Assist with data compilation and submission as required.
  9. Maintain accurate phlebotomy logs and complete online training courses timely.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical training or phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • One year of phlebotomy experience or customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
