Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and supporting the licensed professional nurses in ensuring a safe and healing environment for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect vital information on patients and report changes in patient status to the nursing team
  • Implement direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse, promoting patient and family centered care
  • Administer or assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), perform vital signs, intake & output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention measures, urinary catheter care, phlebotomy, or point of care testing as requested
  • Assist nurse with patient and family education, and document all patient care activities provided with correct medical terminology
  • Act as 1:1 patient safety sitter as necessary, and ensure availability of supplies and equipment to meet each patient's needs
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • No experience required, but preferred qualifications include Certified Nurse Assistant certification
