Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive parent and family engagement strategy that aligns with the university's goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for all planning, partnerships, and logistics related to parent and family engagement.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to staff members responsible for implementing parent and family engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with key campus offices to ensure programs, services, and activities support a diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning and work environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents and families through regular communication, events, and programs.
  • Manage and oversee the planning and execution of large-scale events, such as Family Weekend, and other special events with significant parent/family attendance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer service and satisfaction for parents and families.
  • Manage and oversee the operating budget, including financial statements and regular reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, including parents, faculty, staff, students, and university administration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Experience with event planning, budget management, and customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working in higher education or a related field.
  • Experience with social media management and content creation.
  • Experience with budget management and financial planning.
