About the Role

The Assistant General Manager - Client Services is a key member of our team at The Sports Facilities Companies, responsible for driving business growth and delivering exceptional client experiences. This role requires a strong understanding of the sports and recreation industry, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth and increase client satisfaction
  • Lead a team of event management and local business development staff to deliver high-quality events and services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to drive business growth and partnerships
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in recreation, sports management, or event sales
  • Proven experience in contract negotiations, event creation, and planning
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and negotiating skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Prior experience in P&L management and budget oversight
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods in various conditions
  • May be required to conduct venue tours to prospective clients
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods
