About the Role

CNS Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our community-based team, you will play a vital role in providing intensive services to families, parents, and children who are at risk for the development of emotional disturbance due to socioeconomic status, education, intelligence, and illness in the parent or child.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide thorough and complete assessments to identify treatment needs and develop person-centered plans with each assigned client.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress with respect to treatment goals, modifying plans as needed.
  • Maintain regular contact with assigned clients in the community to ensure adequate level of care.
  • Provide treatment modalities to clients and families as indicated in the treatment plan, including crisis intervention and lethality assessments.
  • Document treatment provided to assigned clients and their families in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • State licensure: Limited-Licensed Master's Social Worker (LLMSW), Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW), Limited-Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Limited-Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LLMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Limited-Licensed Psychologist (LLP).
  • Valid and unrestricted Michigan Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Two years of clinical experience in individual and group psychotherapy using cognitive behavioral techniques under clinical supervision.
  • Prior experience working with all age groups, including children, and solution-focused brief therapy.
