Job Overview
We are seeking an Associate General Counsel for Global Regulatory Licensing & Product. In this role, you'll oversee regulatory licensing applications and advise on regulatory compliance and product development matters. This is an opportunity to engage directly with regulators and have a significant impact within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage regulatory engagements, including licensing applications and interactions with regulators.
  • Lead new regulatory licensing efforts, including responding to and meeting with regulators to address pending applications.
  • Sourcing and managing external counsel and advisors.
  • Advising on policies, procedures, and standards required for licensing.
  • Collaborate with compliance teams to build and maintain a strong compliance program.
  • Provide legal guidance to business units on regulatory compliance and licensing matters.
  • Review new products and business lines for regulatory compliance and provide actionable advice to product teams.

Requirements
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in New York, Connecticut, or New Jersey, or eligible for admission.
  • 7+ years of experience in regulatory licensing, with a background in fintech, digital assets, or financial services.
  • Proven experience engaging with regulators and leading licensing applications.
  • Strong knowledge of digital asset and financial services regulations.
  • Legal writing and research expertise, with experience drafting regulatory responses and filings.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams of attorneys.
  • Passion for crypto and a solid understanding of the industry's risks and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse business units.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
