Position Description

Job Type: Academic - Non-Tenure Track

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated part-time online course developer with expertise in Epidemiology to contribute as a subject matter expert in the creation of online courses.

Key Responsibilities:
As an online course developer, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Designing a new asynchronous online course.
  • Collaborating with the academic department and instructional design team to establish course frameworks and module counts.
  • Working with media teams to develop a comprehensive media plan for the course.
  • Engaging with the instructional design team to create effective learning activities and strategies.

For each course module, you will be responsible for:
  • Creating original content, including learning objectives, course outlines, and syllabi.
  • Producing lecture materials such as videos, presentations, and audio recordings.
  • Developing reading assignments and learning activities, including quizzes and assessments.

Additionally, you will:
  • Draft scripts for media production two weeks prior to recording.
  • Review course content within the Learning Management System (LMS) for quality assurance.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the instructional designer to discuss progress and updates.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Doctorate degree or equivalent international qualification.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in Epidemiology.
  • Three or more years of professional or academic experience in the field.
  • Experience in teaching at the undergraduate level.
  • Familiarity with online course development and content creation.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
