Instructor Pool - Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs, and Biotechnology

Position Overview
Compensation: Estimated earnings range from $1,400 to $5,000 per course, or $200 to $375 per student for asynchronous online courses. Instructor pay is influenced by course duration, number of units, enrollment figures, budgetary constraints, and other relevant factors.

Employment Type: Part-time temporary positions are available based on agreement for each course.

Position Duration: The length of appointments is determined by the course schedule and may be renewed based on departmental needs, funding availability, and performance.

Academic - Non-Tenure Track

Job Summary
We invite applications for a pool of skilled instructors to deliver both in-person and online courses in Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs, and Biotechnology within the Sciences, Mathematics, and Biotechnology department.

We are looking for engaging instructors dedicated to providing quality education in Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs, and Biotechnology. The instructor pool will remain active for one year, and those wishing to continue beyond the final closing date must reapply. The number of available positions fluctuates each semester based on departmental requirements.

Courses are available in both formats:
  • In-person instruction at designated centers.
  • Online instruction through live lectures or asynchronous formats via a learning management system.

Most courses are scheduled during evenings and weekends.

General Responsibilities
We seek qualified candidates with expertise in the following subject areas (not limited to):

Clinical Research
  • Introduction to Clinical Research
  • Clinical Trial Planning
  • Clinical Trial Implementation
  • Data Analysis and Regulatory Audits

Regulatory Affairs
  • Principles of Regulatory Affairs
  • Submissions and Commercialization
  • Post-Approval Activities

Biotechnology Courses
  • Drug Development Process
  • Additional Biotechnology topics (to be specified in the application)

Teaching Experience
  • Classroom and Online Teaching Experience

Instructor responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Completing mandatory training programs.
  • Managing administrative tasks such as updating syllabi and communicating course materials.
  • Enhancing course content based on feedback.
  • Preparing and delivering engaging course materials.
  • Designing interactive activities to foster student engagement.
  • Staying updated within the field of expertise.
  • Utilizing course support platforms effectively.
  • Communicating learning objectives and grading policies clearly.
  • Responding to student inquiries promptly.
  • Employing inclusive teaching methodologies.
  • Evaluating student performance and assigning grades.


Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate or equivalent in course subject.
  • 3+ years of teaching or training experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Experience in developing academic content for online courses.
