Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our team. As a member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our cloud-based infrastructure using technologies like AWS, Python, and Django. Your expertise will help us scale our operations and deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure: Develop, test, and deploy scalable cloud-based infrastructure using AWS, Python, and Django.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with designers and project managers to ensure seamless integration and delivery of projects.
  • Conduct Peer Reviews: Review and improve code quality, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the growth and development of the team.
  • Develop and Maintain APIs: Design, create, and interact with APIs (REST, SOAP, or GraphQL) to enable seamless data exchange between systems.
  • Evaluate and Recommend Tools and Methodologies: Assess new software tools, packages, and methodologies and provide recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

  • Security Clearance: Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance.
  • Technical Expertise: 5+ years of experience in back-end development using Python, Django, and AWS; familiarity with Rust, Go, or other languages is beneficial.
  • API Proficiency: Experience designing, creating, and interacting with APIs (REST, SOAP, or GraphQL).
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines and tools.
  • Strong Computer Science Fundamentals: Understanding of computer science principles, including data structures and algorithms.
  • Effective Communication: Ability to clearly convey design processes, ideas, and solutions to peers and stakeholders.
