Job Title: Fertility Nurse Coordinator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fertility Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Tennessee Fertility Institute LLC. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients undergoing fertility treatments.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general nursing care to patients and administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
- Observe, record, and report patient conditions and reactions to drugs and treatments to physicians. Dispense medication as directed.
- Schedule basic monitoring appointments, treatments, and procedures. Assess and triage patients in emergency situations. Arrange for patient testing and admission.
- Coordinate new patient appointments, greet patients, screen for appropriate information, prepare patients for physical exams, review new patient teaching materials, complete lab requisitions, schedule follow-up appointments, explain tests, and instruct patients regarding sample collection and infertility work-up protocols.
- Maintain and review patient records, charts, and pertinent information. Assess laboratory and test results for normal and abnormal ranges. Review all labs and tests with physicians and inform patients of results. Document accurate and pertinent information, including phone conversations with patients, questions asked and answered, prescriptions called to the pharmacy, and reportable labs and tests.
- Additional duties may be required and discussed during the interview.
Requirements:
- Valid Tennessee nursing license (ASN or BSN)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
- Women's health or infertility background is highly desired.
