Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Hubbell Power Systems. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and improving manufacturing methods to ensure efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and optimize production workflows to maximize efficiency and product flow.
  • Design and implement lean manufacturing methods to reduce waste and improve quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment and materials.
  • Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to inform management decisions.
  • Evaluate and recommend practices related to metal forming, metal cutting, and machining.
  • Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
Requirements
  • Manufacturing engineering experience with a focus on process improvement and optimization.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
