Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled PEO Garnishment Specialist to join our team at Nesco Resource. The successful candidate will be responsible for the processing and payment of worksite employees' withholding orders (garnishment orders and writs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, interpret, administer, and pay wage withholding orders (garnishments and writs) received by PEO.
  • Monitor amounts withheld from worksite employees, verify for accuracy, and provide instructions to payroll specialists to ensure correct garnishment amounts are processed and paid.
  • Monitor garnishment payment transmissions to agencies to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Research and resolve withholding order payment discrepancies on behalf of agencies and worksite employees.
  • Notify agencies of worksite employee employment status when a garnishment or writ is received.
  • Respond to client, employee, and agency withholding order inquiries in a timely fashion.
  • Negotiate with agencies to recover garnishment overpayments on behalf of PEO.
  • Coordinate with PEO Accounting to resolve outstanding garnishment reconciliation items within established timelines.
  • Coordinate with Legal department to ensure proper interpretation of all garnishment interrogatories.
  • Produce weekly, monthly, and on-demand withholding order reports for PEO Payroll Operations management.
  • Maintain archive of garnishment files to facilitate future research.
  • Complete and submit employment verifications on behalf of the client.
Requirements
  • H.S. Diploma
  • Customer service and Microsoft product (Excel, Word, and Access) skills
