Job Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager is a key member of the retail team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store and ensuring exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily retail operations, including opening and closing the store, managing inventory, and maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Direct and supervise store team members, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve business objectives, including sales targets, customer satisfaction, and employee retention.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including inventory, sales, and customer data.
  • Participate in store meetings and contribute to the development of business plans and strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or five years of related experience and/or training.
  • Proven track record of success in a retail management role, with experience in customer service, sales, and team leadership.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, employees, and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate figures and amounts.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including policies, procedures, and sales reports.

Working Conditions:

The Assistant Store Manager will work in a retail store environment, with regular exposure to customers, employees, and management. The role requires standing and walking for extended periods, as well as lifting and moving merchandise and equipment. The Assistant Store Manager must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
