As a Sourcing Manager at Orchard Brands, you will be responsible for managing the sourcing functions and direct reports of a specific brand and assigned product categories. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Negotiating cost and delivery with offshore offices, agents, and vendors.
  • Monitoring adjustments to cost and delivery throughout the product life cycle.

Sourcing Strategies:

  • Identifying and executing sourcing strategies for assigned brands and product categories to ensure optimal cost, delivery, and quality.
  • Evaluating and presenting improvement strategies to the Sourcing Director for review and approval.

Order Detail and Process Management:

  • Ensuring the processing and management of all order details to achieve contracted delivery, cost, and quality for assigned brands and product categories.
  • Managing product development, color approval, fabric approval, and photoshoot sample processes to ensure compliance to calendar and quality requirements for assigned brands and product categories.

Cross-functional Relationships:

  • Partnering with cross-functional teams of Design, Merchandising, and Inventory Planning for assigned brands from product development through delivery.
  • Partnering with offshore offices, agents, and all vendors.

Development and Staff Training:

  • Managing the hiring, training, and development of direct staff.
  • Researching markets and sources by attending industry seminars, reading industry periodicals, presenting findings, and using learning to make sourcing choices.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related sourcing and management experience.
  • Prior apparel retail or manufacturing experience with demonstrated negotiation and process management experience.
  • Must be knowledgeable in textiles and garment production.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and Excel skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
