Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Vallourec. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, preparing, and executing capital improvement ideas and projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and executing capital improvement projects, including designing, preparing, and implementing migration paths for obsolete controls and components.
  • Writing and approving engineering specifications, designs, and spare parts lists.
  • Performing, planning, scheduling, coordinating, and directing installation of new or existing components on all projects, including project status reports as required.
  • Establishing priorities with reliability and energy conservation in mind.
  • Managing, directing, and executing all assigned area capital projects.
  • Maintaining area equipment drawings, including drawing changes and updates, and working with vendors to ensure complete updated drawing management.
  • Providing high voltage electrical engineering support for the plant's distribution systems and equipment.
  • Acting as the assigned technical expert for projects managed by other Project Managers.
  • Accountable for the technical support of assigned facility maintenance area and daily problem solving/root cause analysis with the goal of increasing OEE.
  • Communicating with maintenance, operation supervisors, and process engineers to solve and prevent various issues for the mill.
Requirements
  • BS Engineering Electrical degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial equipment environment.
  • Strong leadership and engineering experience.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
