Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and managing electrical systems for our projects. This includes creating detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts, as well as selecting components and generating project Bill of Materials (BOM).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and equipment
  • Select and specify components, including electrical control circuits, bus bar systems, and industrial control panels
  • Collaborate with project management and product teams to determine electrical requirements and specifications
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations, including NEC, UL, IEC, and IEEE
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and manuals
  • Present findings and recommendations to project teams and stakeholders

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (ABET) or a minimum of 10 years' proven experience in the electrical engineering field
  • Three plus years' experience in electrical equipment manufacturing
  • Three plus years' experience in electrical engineering principles, circuits, and systems
  • Three plus years' experience in industry standards and regulations, including NEC, UL, IEC, and IEEE
  • Three plus years' experience with AutoCAD, EPLAN, and electrical design tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities

  • Must live in the greater Brookfield area
  • Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check
  • Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four-plus hours at a time
  • Ability to stoop and bend for four-plus hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Three years' experience in design or similar engineering role
  • Experience with simulation and analysis software, such as SKM or ETAP, for electrical systems
  • Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient design practices
  • Familiarity with specific industry applications for energy fields, food processing, mining, power plant-substation, data mining, etc.
