About the Job
As a Transportation Engineer at CDM Smith, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of transportation infrastructure. Our Tennessee-based team is seeking a skilled engineer to collaborate on cutting-edge projects that require federal, state, and local regulatory compliance. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse design projects, ensuring quality assurance through site reviews and inspections of transportation structures. You will also engage in client collaboration, developing proposals that meet unique needs and fostering strong relationships with current and potential clients.

**Key Responsibilities**
* Develop and review draft designs to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and firm policies
* Conduct site reviews and inspections of transportation structures to guarantee high-quality construction
* Collaborate with sales staff to develop proposals that meet client needs and foster strong client relationships
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations by attending conferences and symposia, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff

**Requirements**
* Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline
* Professional engineering (PE) license
* 7 years of related experience; domestic and/or international travel may be required

**Estimated Salary: $105,000 - $125,000 per year**
