Project Overview

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Engineer to join our team at the Hanford Vit Plant, a one-of-a-kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste into a safe form for disposal.

This is a unique opportunity to work on a critical project that will protect the nearby Columbia River and the communities, salmon, and wildlife along its shorelines.

Job Summary

In this role, you will assist the project team in preparing, establishing, and maintaining schedule data for proposals or contracts.

You will perform schedule development duties, monitoring, reporting, and analysis, and assist with schedule recovery plans.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of schedule data for proposals or contracts
  • Establish and maintain the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty
  • Perform schedule development duties, including establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining work activity duration, and developing required job expenditure
  • Perform schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties
  • Assist with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
  • Perform schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities
  • Assist with schedule recovery plans
Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.

Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check, which includes verification of employment and education.

Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.

Must possess the right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.
