Job Summary: As the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee a maintenance shop under the supervision of a Maintenance Manager. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of technicians responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of vehicles and equipment in compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to technicians to ensure safe and efficient completion of repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor operations and efficiency, making adjustments as needed to optimize performance.
  • Supervise maintenance shop staff, conduct training, and handle employee evaluations to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Inspect repairs to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations, maintaining a culture of safety excellence.
  • Identify training needs and address performance issues to ensure technicians are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Manage inventory and expenses, ensuring budget compliance and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of vehicle systems and perform diagnostics and repairs as necessary to ensure fleet reliability and efficiency.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as payroll and budgeting to support the maintenance shop's operations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
  • Experience with various ASE certifications, including T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T2, and T Master.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of maintenance experience with heavy equipment.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience in a role involving knowledge of safety practices and regulations.
