Electrical Engineer Internship Opportunity

CDG Engineers, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced engineers on a variety of projects, including power utilities, renewable energy, and heavy industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and implementation of electrical systems
  • Conduct research and analysis on electrical engineering topics
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation
  • Collaborate with the EE team to identify and resolve engineering challenges

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering - currently enrolled in school as a Junior graduating in 2026, or a Senior graduating in 2025
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week during summer 2024 (schedule adjustments considered for the right applicant)
  • Demonstrated class/academic expertise in any core area of T&D Substation design, Renewable Energy - Solar, BESS, Electrification, Power Engineering with a focus on heavy industrial systems, Automation Engineering or Programming - PLC, DCS, or SCADA Systems, System Relaying
  • Working ability with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools preferred
  • Working knowledge of PVsyst or similar solar design software
  • Working knowledge of SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software preferred
  • Working knowledge of electric utility industry and environmental issues

Preferred Requirements:

  • Masters Degree OR MBA
  • PE license
