Join our dynamic team at Arc Herkimer We are currently seeking a Service Staff Member for our MV Golf and Event Center.

The Service Staff Member plays a crucial role in the daily operations of our dining establishment. Responsibilities include preparing dining areas, serving food and beverages to our esteemed members and guests, and facilitating the food and beverage service for organized events such as tournaments, banquets, weddings, and meetings.

This is a part-time, seasonal position, with an expected commitment of approximately 20 hours per week. The role offers a competitive salary of $10 per hour, along with a $5 tip credit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional service to all members, guests, and colleagues.
  • Ensure prompt attention to newly seated patrons and take orders courteously.
  • Verify the legal age of customers ordering alcoholic beverages.
  • Serve meals and drinks in accordance with established standards, maintaining a fine dining atmosphere.
  • Monitor diners to address additional requests and recognize when meals are complete.
  • Prepare tables by arranging napkins and utensils, ensuring condiments are replenished, and completing other preparatory tasks.
  • Maintain a well-stocked work area.
  • Assist in keeping the dining area clean and organized, ensuring compliance with sanitation and food handling standards.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately using the point of sale system.
  • Communicate any customer complaints to the supervisor.
  • Complete assigned tasks during slower periods.
  • Support special events as needed.
  • Report to work as scheduled, dressed in uniform and ready to perform duties.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance and uphold personal hygiene standards at all times.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling.
  • Take on additional responsibilities and projects as directed by the supervisor.
Position Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year of experience in food service is preferred.
  • One year of customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
