Unit Focus:
The Medical Intensive Care Units (MICU) are designed to provide care for patients with high acuity needs, addressing a variety of complex medical conditions.

Our nursing staff is involved in critical procedures such as bronchoscopy, endoscopy, emergent intubations, and central line placements.

Community and Training:
As a Registered Nurse Resident, you will join a supportive community and participate in one of the most comprehensive training programs available. You will work alongside experienced nurses who are eager to mentor and guide you.

Key Responsibilities:
As a nursing resident, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering direct nursing care in line with established policies and protocols.
  • Implementing and monitoring patient care plans.
  • Documenting and communicating patient conditions as necessary.
  • Evaluating and updating care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Coordinating care among various healthcare disciplines.
  • Administering medications and treatments as per approved protocols.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates should:

  • Be a graduate from an accredited nursing program, with a BSN preferred.
  • Hold current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
  • Meet additional certification requirements based on the specific care area.

Work Environment:
This role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be prepared to handle stressful situations and work irregular hours.

Physical Requirements:
The position necessitates a full range of motion, including lifting and handling patients, as well as manual dexterity. Candidates should be able to stand and walk for extended periods and have corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
