Job Summary

Houston Methodist Hospital is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic radiology procedures, including X-ray and Fluoroscopy exams of moderate to high complexity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including X-ray and Fluoroscopy exams, with a focus on achieving high-quality images and providing excellent patient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient patient care.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of radiation safety standards and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for patients and staff.
  • Provide education and training to Radiologic Technologist I and students, promoting a culture of mentorship and professional growth.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to the development of best practices.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below.
  • Three years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • ARRT-R - Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer (ARRT) certification.
  • CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure or CMRT-Temp - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - Temporary State Licensure.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in diagnostic imaging procedures, with a strong understanding of radiation safety standards and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer knowledge, with experience using multiple computer systems, including Hospital/Radiology Information Systems and Office software.
