Accountable for the execution of designated internal audit initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:


Assess, analyze, and validate internal controls and performance indicators of corporate functions and operational processes, focusing on accounting and financial systems.

Oversee all phases of financial and operational audit assistance - including planning, fieldwork, and conclusion. Conduct testing related to the Company's Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance program, which involves completing and documenting process walk-throughs, testing controls, and aiding in remediation efforts.

Participate in operational audits of the Company's storage facilities. Act as a controls consultant on process enhancement and re-engineering teams. Evaluate business processes and provide constructive recommendations to management. Facilitate the development of solutions to identified business requirements and ensure effective communication with business stakeholders. Provide meaningful updates to business leaders and audit management. Willingness to travel for business purposes up to 20% of the time. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline such as Business or Management is required. A minimum of 4 years of general business experience, including at least 3 years in audit (internal or external) is essential. Candidates with 1 year of experience in a corporate setting are preferred. CIA or CPA certification is desirable.

What Could Distinguish You:
Previous experience in public accounting is highly preferred. A functional understanding of accounting and financial processes is essential. Experience with Supply Chain processes, third-party logistics, or auditing controls in warehousing, distribution, or manufacturing operations is advantageous. Familiarity with process engineering methodologies and operational best practices (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean) is a plus. Ability to analyze intricate processes and identify potential improvement opportunities. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary. A self-starter who utilizes experience and judgment to plan and achieve objectives. Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. Must be self-motivated with a high degree of initiative. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time. Ability to collaborate in a team environment and maintain a partnership approach. Capability to interact with all organizational levels.

Physical Requirements:
Requires the ability to sit for extended periods, with frequent interruptions. Involves several hours of sitting, standing, and reaching or bending. Requires manual dexterity for typical office tasks. Effective communication skills are essential for completing assigned responsibilities. May necessitate travel by automobile and airplane for business purposes. May require visits to facility operations in various temperature conditions. May involve carrying loads related to travel and occasionally lifting, carrying, positioning, or moving objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Requires the use of various electronic tools. Must be able to relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions: must collaborate with colleagues without exhibiting behavioral extremes. Requires the performance of work activities that include reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others; and responding appropriately to constructive feedback from executive management.
