We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Resource Navigator to join our team at Heading Home Corps, a program administered by Ampact. As a Housing Resource Navigator, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing homelessness achieve their housing goals.
Key Responsibilities- Assist clients in navigating social services resources, programs, and benefit systems.
- Foster strong relationships to help clients build their confidence and skills.
- Help individuals overcome barriers and achieve their housing goals.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Gain hands-on experience in social services while embedded in a local organization.
- Dependable and have a history of good attendance.
- Able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule of 40 or 25 hours per week, depending on the agreed-upon hours commitment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), internet searches, data entry, email communication (with attachments), databases, and software use, and videoconferencing.
- Fluent in English.
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
As an AmeriCorps program member, you will receive a stipend, individual health insurance, and child care assistance, among other benefits. You will also have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills in social services, while making a meaningful difference in your community.
