Job Title: Restaurant Host/Hostess

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our team at Anajak Thai Cuisine. As a Restaurant Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment they enter the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Reception:

    • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
    • Manage guest waitlists and reservations efficiently to minimize wait times.
    • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus, ensuring a seamless dining experience.

  2. Seating Management:

    • Maintain an organized and efficient seating chart to ensure timely seating.
    • Coordinate with the waitstaff to ensure a smooth flow of guests.
    • Handle special seating requests and accommodate guests' needs with a smile.

  3. Reservation Management:

    • Answer phone calls and manage online reservation systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
    • Confirm, modify, or cancel reservations as needed to meet guest expectations.
    • Keep track of peak times and adjust seating plans accordingly to minimize wait times.

  4. Customer Service:

    • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly and professionally.
    • Provide accurate wait time estimates and keep guests informed to manage expectations.
    • Resolve guest issues or escalate them to management when necessary to ensure a positive experience.

  5. Organization and Cleanliness:

    • Ensure the host stand and lobby area are clean and welcoming to create a positive first impression.
    • Monitor and manage the flow of guests to minimize wait times and maintain a smooth operation.
    • Keep track of guest preferences and special occasions to provide personalized service.

  6. Team Collaboration:

    • Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless operations.
    • Assist with training new hosts as needed to maintain a high level of service.
    • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a positive and efficient dining experience.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and a friendly demeanor are essential.
  • Appearance: A professional appearance and demeanor are required.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with reservation and POS systems is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Good vision and hearing to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
