Role Summary
The Participant Engagement Specialist will serve as the initial point of contact at the PACE center. This role involves welcoming participants, families, and visitors with exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include guiding individuals upon arrival, assisting with the identification process during check-in and check-out, managing incoming calls, and facilitating communication between various stakeholders. The Specialist will also oversee security systems and ensure a safe environment for all.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide front desk support at the PACE center.
- Manage telephone communications, including screening calls and relaying messages.
- Prioritize tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Order necessary supplies for the center.
- Prepare and issue identification cards for employees and participants.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail efficiently.
- Assist participants during check-in and check-out to ensure proper identification and necessary items are transported.
- Support participants with their belongings upon arrival, ensuring proper labeling.
- Coordinate communication with staff regarding urgent situations or center closures.
- Engage effectively with administration, medical staff, participants, and community members.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and follow through on issues to resolution.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment and assist colleagues as needed.
- Exhibit sensitivity towards the needs of the elderly population.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company procedures and participant information.
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies.
- Demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Business school education or relevant secretarial experience preferred.
- Proficiency in computer applications is necessary.
- A minimum of two years of receptionist experience, ideally in a healthcare setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of office procedures is essential.
- A genuine desire to work with elderly individuals and their families.
- Possession of reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Must be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have up-to-date immunizations.
- Successful completion of a thorough background check is required.
