Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Plant Office Administrator to join our team at Vulcan Materials Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating customer orders, performing daily plant duties, and preparing monthly financial information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate customer orders, ensuring timely and accurate ticketing and dispatch of trucks
  • Perform daily administrative plant duties, including purchase orders, payables, time cards, and fuel usage tracking
  • Prepare month-end closing information and detailed analyses of monthly margin and cost statements
  • Serve as plant contact, receiving guests and answering phones, and assisting with scale clerk duties as needed
  • Maintain correct levels of inventory for plant and office materials, and prepare correspondence, reports, and manuals
Requirements
  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related field
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and common office practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices
