College Possible is seeking a dedicated and passionate AmeriCorps College Access Coach to join our team. As a College Access Coach, you will play a critical role in supporting high school juniors and seniors in their college access journey. You will work closely with students to help them navigate the college application process, complete college applications, and secure financial aid. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students and help them achieve their educational goals.
Responsibilities- Coach a caseload of high school juniors and seniors in college access and success
- Provide individualized support to students through one-on-one meetings and group sessions
- Lead college application workshops and provide guidance on the college application process
- Assist students in completing college applications, including the FAFSA and CSS Profile
- Help students navigate financial aid options and secure scholarships
- Collaborate with school counselors and other stakeholders to ensure students receive comprehensive support
- Track student progress and provide regular updates to the College Success Team
- Bachelor's degree required
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status required
- Ability to pass a National Service Criminal History Check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for education and commitment to closing the college equity gap
